The WATCS Adult Team provides services for women who have experienced abuse and trauma in their lives. Many of the women who attend this service have experienced sexual abuse or assault, either recently or in the past.

The Adult Team is staffed by psychotherapists and counsellors who are experienced in working with issues of abuse and trauma. We work at a pace that feels comfortable to our clients. This may involve helping clients reflect on their past and how it is affecting their present experience, or just working with day-to-day challenges which may relate to past abuse or trauma.

We do our best to adjust our fees so that counselling and psychotherapy is available to everyone who needs it. Some of our therapists are ACC-registered and can help clients with registering a claim for ACC funding towards their counselling costs.
